WELCOME TO THE 2022 SEASON

Hello to everyone, like me I hope you are all looking forward to the new season, getting out with the centre in your caravan or motorhome, meeting some new friends and catching up with old ones to enjoy yourselves.

I’d like to start with a huge thank you to the committee for the last two years, it’s been difficult facing the challenges of the pandemic with the new guidelines that we all have to follow, and I think John along with the committee have guided us through brilliantly with their hard work and efforts.

No one knows what the future holds but we head into the new year with renewed enthusiasm that we can rally ‘as normal’ and enjoy our beautiful countryside attending centre rallies, be it N&R or our fellow club centres.

This will be my first year as your Chairman and I aim to continue pushing the centre forward to allow all of us to enjoy rallying for years to come, we have some great events organised this year starting the season at Barnstones in March, quickly followed by Easter at Whilton Mill & St.Georges Day rally at Harrington both in April. Later in the year we celebrate the Queens Jubilee at The Lawns near Spalding, The Chairmans Rally with entertainment will be held at Barnwell Village Hall, Rally Forum & The AGM will be in October at Cogenhoe Bowls Club and Barnwell respectively, and the return of a Halloween Rally will be at Naseby Village Hall. Our Holiday rally this year will be at Banks Farm at the Gower Peninsula, Wales. All information is available on the website. It would be a pleasure to see as many of you as possible at these rallies.

With a few new marshals this year I ask that we support them in their amazing efforts to put on great rallies, without them there would be no rallies, so a HUGE and heartfelt ‘Thank you’ goes out the all the marshals that volunteered this year.

We are liaising with Globe 2 our website support team to implement a new online booking form for 2022, this form will replicate and replace the current paper slips we use by supplying all the information electronically to a designated booking officer, who in turn will gather and supply the information to the rally marshals, we hope to have this in place for March, but as in life there are no guarantees, we will keep everyone informed of the progress in readiness for the new season.

I have decided this year to support two charities, with some fundraising events and probably a sponsored event or two across the year I would like to support both ‘Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis’ and ‘Breast Cancer Now’, more information to follow on how we can support these fantastic charities.

Lastly, I would like to say if you have not attended a centre event before, please contact me or any committee member, or visit our website, we will gladly explain how the rallies work and how you can get booked into them, we now have a great committee to guide us through the year so please help them to keep the centre thriving.

See you all soon on the rally field.
