Rallying Update:

Hello, I hope you are all safe and well

The Caravan and Motorhome Club have provisionally given centres permission to restart rallies from Friday 7th August. However, they have given us a number of strict guidelines that we need to work within. The Northamptonshire & Rutland committee have been working together to come to a decision that will be the most practical outcome for all including land owners

To restart the rally program all future rallies will have to have a comprehensive risk assessment processed by the appointed marshal and sent to head office. There are to be no social gatherings including holding flag, it is also recommended that all payments are contactless or at the very least cheques in an envelope which are not to be opened for 72 hours. There are to be no rally programs or competitions printed, and marshals will not be able to offer tea or coffee. All taps must be sanitised before and after use with social distancing measures being observed if waiting for water and the use of the CDP.

Regrettably the decision was taken to cancel  the remainder of this year’s rally program with the exception of the AGM and New Year Rallies. We are still waiting for guidance from HQ about the possibility of holding the AGM and it has been announced by the government that advice regarding future social distancing over the Christmas period will be announced in  November.

I’m sure that you can understand that this decision was not taken lightly and I hope you are all safe and well.
